A man in Georgia was recently charged with a DUI, murder, and various other charges after a passenger who was National Guard member was thrown from the vehicle during a chase involving Atlanta law enforcement. Subsequently, the driver was booked into the DeKalb County Jail in connection with the offense. The accident occurred when the driver failed to stop his vehicle for law enforcement, which resulted in a chase. During the chase, the passenger is reported to have begged with the driver to stop. When the driver failed to exit Interstate 85, he could not handle a curve in the road, which resulted in his vehicle smashing through a guardrail, going down an embankment, and ending up on its roof.
